Special Events The Holidays at Albuquerque Grand Senior Living were special--to say the least! It began with Chanukah, complete with latkes (that’s potato pancakes) and tasty matzoh ball soup. At the Christmas Party, we were entertained by Johnny K, who personally serenaded residents with his “Christmas with Sinatra” performance. And, of course, there was food, fun and dancing...even presents from the man in the red suit himself! Finally, our New Years Party--or, as we called it, “Noon Years Party--we brought a little taste of New York to the Grand with a lighted ball that dropped at the strike of 12...that’s 12 NOON. Then we sang and line danced the afternoon away, toasting in 2010 with residents and staff alike. |
